US House
Incumbent: Brett Guthrie (KY-02)
.

.
After Ron Lewis’s Pyrrhic victory in 2006, Brett Guthrie snuck into the Republican nomination over Lewis’s handpicked successor. After winning election to the open House seat in 2008, Guthrie now conducts business in the same office once held by one Richard M. Nixon. Despite Guthrie’s record on the economy and jobs (see ad below), he was elected 53-47% against Democratic opponent David Boswell and began his career in the US House of Representatives opposing Democratic plans to save the economy, voting against an economic stimulus with over 48,000 jobs, $861 million in badly-needed state budge aid, $457 million in highway and bridge construction, and $286 million in school modernization for the state of Kentucky alone.
